Mitzpe Aviv

Mitzpe Aviv occupies a hilltop location at 134 meters elevation in the northern Galilee region, between the towns of I'billin and Tamra.

The settlement was founded in 1981 and named after geographer Avraham Ya'akov Brawer, with Aviv being an acronym of his full name.

In 2009, the settlement modified its regulations to require new members to align with principles supporting Zionism and Israel as a Jewish state.

The settlement maintains a population of 1,070 residents and operates under the administrative framework of the Misgav Regional Council, providing local services.

The settlement functions within a larger regional network of 35 small towns, where Jewish communities exist in proximity to Bedouin populations.
