Gandaki Province

Gandaki Province extends across 21,504 square kilometers of Nepal's territory, encompassing mountains, valleys, and lakes between Tibet and the Indian border.

The province formed in 2015 during Nepal's constitutional reorganization, replacing the previous administrative structure that had existed since the 1950s.

The region contains 88 distinct ethnic groups, including Gurungs, Magars, and Thakalis, who maintain their individual languages, traditions, and festivals.

Pokhara International Airport serves as the main transportation hub, connecting the province to domestic and international destinations through regular flights.

The province generates substantial hydroelectric power from its water resources, with numerous projects producing over 539 megawatts of electricity.
