Ayub National Park, National park along Grand Trunk Road in Rawalpindi District, Pakistan
Ayub National Park is a 313-acre park that combines recreational and natural areas along the Grand Trunk Road. The site features a central lake, walking trails, and a range of animal species across its grounds.
The site was originally called Topi Rakh Park during British rule and became a national park in 1959 under President Ayub Khan. This change marked the beginning of its current role as a public recreational and conservation area.
The open-air theater serves as a gathering place where local residents come to watch performances and community events. This space functions as a social hub where people from the area meet and spend time together.
The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset and provides amenities such as a food court, parking, and picnic areas. Visitors should explore the grounds using designated walking trails and visit different sections including the central lakeside.
The Jungle World section houses 130 animal species and 200 bird species, many of which came from a closed zoo facility. This part offers visitors an unexpected encounter with wildlife in the middle of the park.
