Selendi, District municipality in Manisa Province, Turkey
Selendi covers 726 square kilometers of land in western Turkey, positioned at an elevation of 431 meters above sea level in the Aegean region.
The area was previously known as Silandus, an ancient settlement near a tributary of the Hermos River, which later became a diocese under Roman rule.
Selendi maintains connections to both its Roman Catholic past and current Islamic influences through its religious structures and community practices.
