Ohio County

Ohio County is an administrative division in northern West Virginia, bordering both Pennsylvania and Ohio state. The county encompasses several municipalities and rural areas with a mix of urban and agricultural development.

Ohio County was established in 1798 as one of the original districts of the region. It later developed into an important center for industry and commerce along the Ohio River.

The county maintains elected positions including commissioners, sheriff, prosecutor, coroner, engineer, recorder, auditor, treasurer, and clerk of courts.
