Mansión Borges

The Borges Mansion occupies 6,137 square meters on a hilltop in Petare, featuring Carrara marble stairs and a 20-meter panoramic window overlooking Caracas valley.

Italian architects Athos Albertoni and Guido Guazzo designed this residence for René Borges Villegas, completed in 1958 during the military decade of Venezuela.

The Metropolitan Municipality of Caracas transformed the mansion into the Simon Diaz Cultural Center in 2009, offering art exhibitions, workshops, and community activities.

The property contains three main bedrooms, four family rooms, eleven service rooms, sixteen bathrooms, a swimming pool with bar, and parking space for twenty vehicles.

The mansion includes secret passages and a bunker, while incorporating self-sustaining systems with its own power plant, septic tank, and water pump.
