Hà Nam, Province in Red River Delta, Vietnam.
Hà Nam is a lowland province in the Red River Delta of Vietnam, positioned between Hanoi to the north and Ninh Bình to the south. The territory consists of flat agricultural land crossed by waterways, with the capital Phủ Lý located in the center of the administrative region.
The province was formed in 1996 when the former Hà Nam Ninh province was split into two separate administrative units. Archaeological finds in the area reveal thousands of years of settlement along the delta's river branches.
Local residents maintain traditional practices such as water puppetry performances, drum making in Doi Tam, and silk production in Nha Xa village.
The area experiences heavier rainfall during the rainy season from May to October, while the dry season brings cooler conditions. Travelers find central transport links and lodging in Phủ Lý for exploring surrounding villages and temples.
The Ngũ Động Sơn cave system links five natural grottoes formed through limestone formations. The Sông Đáy and Sông Châu Giang rivers create a network of side channels and calm water surfaces that cross the land.
