Bharat Mandapam, Exhibition square at Pragati Maidan, India
Bharat Mandapam is an exhibition center at Pragati Maidan with a built-up area of 390,000 square meters. The complex features a central convention hall seating 7,000 people alongside six dedicated exhibition halls designed for different events.
The complex replaced the Hall of Nations, which was built in 1972. It opened in 2023 as a modern venue and was associated with the G20 Summit held under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
The exhibition center displays a 27-foot bronze Nataraja statue created by sculptor Radhakrishnan Sthapaty to represent Indian artistic traditions. Visitors encounter artworks throughout the venue that blend classical and contemporary aspects of Indian culture.
The venue connects directly to the Supreme Court metro station and includes underground parking for efficient transportation during events. Allow plenty of time to navigate through the different exhibition halls and sections.
Different walls throughout the complex showcase Indian art themes ranging from traditional cultural elements to modern subjects like space exploration and solar energy. This artistic design creates a visual journey through various stages of India's development.
