DJI Sky City consists of two glass-clad towers, the East Tower at 211.6 metres (47 floors) and the West Tower at 193.1 metres (43 floors), joined by an outdoor suspension bridge about 100 metres above ground. Each tower has a central core with six steel-framed volumes cantilevered asymmetrically from the sides, and the facades are divided into a grid of rectangular panes with diagonal bracing. The East Tower holds research and development space, the West Tower offices.

In December 2015 Shenzhen's government granted DJI a 30-year land lease on plot T501-0078, south of Liuxiandong station on Metro Line 5; a neighbouring plot, T501-0081, was acquired in December 2016 and merged into the headquarters scheme. Foster + Partners designed the twin towers and China State Construction Engineering built them, with work running from 2017 to 2022. The East Tower's core was topped out on 30 September 2019.

The complex is DJI's global headquarters, bringing drone research, offices and testing into one site in the Liuxiandong base. Its name, Sky City, is used in Chinese as 天空之城大廈. The campus won three prizes at the 2023 CTBUH Skyscraper Awards: a Special Recognition, Best Building 200–299 m, and Best Building in Asia.

The complex stands in the Liuxiandong headquarters base of Xili Subdistrict, Nanshan District, south of Liuxiandong Station on Metro Line 5. The towers are corporate offices and laboratories, not open to the public; the glass facades and the sky bridge are seen from the surrounding streets.

The two towers are joined by an open-air suspension bridge about 100 metres above the ground, not an enclosed glass corridor. The complex won three prizes at the 2023 CTBUH Skyscraper Awards: a Special Recognition, Best Building 200–299 metres, and Best Building in Asia.
