Tenri City Kurozuka Kofun Museum

The Tenri City Kurozuka Kofun Museum exhibits a collection of artifacts discovered in the nearby keyhole-shaped burial mound, including iron weapons and bronze mirrors.

Excavations in 1998 at the Kurozuka Tumulus uncovered 34 bronze mirrors from the third century, suggesting connections to the ancient Yamatai kingdom.

The museum features a complete reproduction of the original rock chamber measuring 8.3 meters in length, displaying the construction methods of ancient Japanese tombs.

Located five minutes from Yanagimoto Station on the Sakurai Line, the museum operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and offers free admission to all visitors.

The second floor provides visitors with an elevated view of the rock chamber model while displaying precise replicas of the excavated Sankakubuchi Shinjukyo mirrors.
