Kalasha Dur Museum

The Kalasha Dur Museum displays 1,300 artifacts including traditional weapons, tools, clothing, jewelry, and musical instruments from the Hindu Kush region.

The museum opened in 2005 following construction efforts supported by Greek Volunteers and Hellenic Aid, under the guidance of teacher Athanasios Lerounis.

The ground floor presents an ethnological collection of Kalasha heritage, while the first floor contains a library of Kalash literature and training space.

The museum occupies four kanals of land with stone walls, concrete framework, and wooden beams, featuring carved verandas in traditional architectural style.

A temple dedicated to Jestak, a deity of protection, stands at the museum entrance, connecting visitors to local spiritual traditions.
