Sthlm 01, Office building in Hammarby Sjöstad, Stockholm, Sweden
Sthlm 01 is an office building in Hammarby Sjöstad with a Y-shaped design featuring a tower reaching 102 meters and a separate low-rise section of about 25 meters near Hammarby canal. The two parts create a single complex with varying heights that define the waterfront setting.
Completed in 2020, the building marks the transformation of a former harbor area through a partnership between architects Sauerbruch Hutton and Byrån för Arkitektur och Urbanism. This collaboration set a new standard for development in the Hammarby district.
The building houses a restaurant and sky bar in its upper levels, creating new gathering places where people can meet and enjoy views of the city. These spaces have become part of the social rhythm of the neighborhood.
The building connects directly to an underground railway station and offers access to the waterfront area via a sweeping staircase. The location provides easy connections to public transport and the surrounding waterfront district.
The building's exterior features a color-changing design that narrows toward the top and serves as a navigation landmark for visitors. This visual transformation makes the structure easily recognizable from the water and throughout the city.
