Pagla Jame Masjid, Congregational mosque in Shantiganj Upazila, Bangladesh.

Pagla Jame Masjid is a congregational mosque featuring three large domes and six minarets constructed with thick brick walls rising approximately 40 feet high. The structure encloses prayer halls and communal spaces designed to accommodate many worshippers at once.

Construction started in 1931 under businessman Yasin Mirza's direction and took a full decade to complete. This lengthy building process reflected the ambition and resources invested in creating the structure.

The prayer hall displays decorative tiles and imported stones from different countries, revealing the craftspeople's access to materials from across Asia and Europe during its construction period.

The site is accessible by local transportation from Sunamganj town, situated along the Sylhet-Sunamganj highway where minibuses and autorickshaws regularly pass. The area experiences heavy rainfall during monsoon months, so weather-appropriate clothing is advisable for visitors.

The entire structure was built without steel reinforcement, relying completely on brick and traditional building methods used by local workers. This construction approach was standard practice in the region during the early 20th century.
