Shahi Eidgah, Open prayer hall in Sylhet District, Bangladesh.

Shahi Eidgah is a prayer hall built on a hillside with three entrance gates and fifteen domes arranged across the space. A central platform for prayer leadership sits atop a staircase with twenty steps, providing a focal point for congregational worship.

The prayer hall was constructed in the 17th century during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Farhad Khan, the regional administrator of Sylhet at that time, oversaw the building's construction.

During both Eid festivals, thousands of Muslims from the region gather here for communal worship. These celebrations form the heart of the local religious calendar and bring people together in a shared spiritual tradition.

Visitors can reach the site easily using local buses from Sylhet bus station, which is the main transportation hub for the area. The location is accessible on foot from nearby bus stops and taxi stands.

The site includes specialized water tanks designed for ritual ablutions performed before prayer. These functional features reflect how the space was carefully planned to accommodate the needs of large congregations.
