Europabrücke

The Europabrücke connects two sections of the Europaweg trail, spanning a deep gorge at high altitude in the Swiss Alps near Zermatt.

Engineers completed the original bridge construction in July 2010, creating a vital link between Zermatt and Grächen along the mountain hiking route.

The bridge reflects Swiss engineering excellence in alpine infrastructure, connecting communities and enabling access to traditional mountain settlements and paths.

Hikers should start early from Randa train station, allowing four hours to reach the bridge through a challenging climb of 1,355 meters over 6.9 kilometers.

The structure provides access to Kinhütte mountain refuge, located 1.5 hours above the bridge, offering direct views toward multiple alpine peaks.
