Garraf, Administrative division in Barcelona Province, Spain
Garraf is an administrative region along the Mediterranean coast in Barcelona Province with six municipalities. The area contains coastal towns and inland communities of different sizes and purposes.
The region received its current administrative boundaries in 1936 when Catalonia reorganized its territorial divisions. This administrative structure continues to define the local organization today.
The towns here maintain Catalan traditions through local festivals and Mediterranean cooking that shape daily life.
Trains connect the towns regularly with Barcelona and surrounding areas. The coastal highway C-31 offers direct access and makes arrival from outside easier.
A nature park within the area displays limestone formations and Mediterranean plants found nowhere else in the region. These landscapes give the area a distinctive character and visual identity.
