Le Panoramic

Le Panoramic sits at 3,032 meters (9,948 feet) on the Grande Motte Glacier and features a main dining room, self-service counter, and outdoor terrace. The views from the terrace stretch across the Alps to the distant horizon.

The Bouvier family founded the restaurant in autumn 2011, introducing refined mountain dining to this extreme altitude. It marked a shift toward more sophisticated cuisine in this ski region's dining landscape.

The restaurant earned the Maître-Restaurateur distinction, recognizing its dedication to French culinary traditions and preparing food on-site. Visitors can observe how traditional French cooking continues to be crafted by hand in this extreme setting.

Access comes via the Perce-Neige funicular or ski lifts, which operate through the winter season from November into early May. In summer months, hikers and mountain bikers can also reach the outdoor seating area.

The restaurant maintains a wine collection of 750 references and prepares dishes over a wood fire despite the extreme altitude and cooking challenges. This blend of refined wine service with rustic cooking methods creates an unexpected contrast.
