Jungle Island, Zoological theme park in Miami-Dade County, US
The 18-acre park features numerous animal exhibits, aerial adventure courses, water attractions, and tropical gardens between Downtown Miami and South Beach.
Founded in 1936 as Parrot Jungle, the park relocated to Watson Island in 2003 and changed its name to Jungle Island four years later.
The park maintains approximately 3,000 animals, including 1,000 parrot varieties, and presents educational shows at the Jungle Theater and Parrot Bowl.
Visitors can access the park Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with various animal encounters and VIP tours available for purchase.
The facility includes a 13,800-square-foot Treetop Ballroom and South Florida's only aerial adventure park with specialized courses for different age groups.
