Water Gong Pusur
Water Gong Pusur is a water park along the Gejikan River in Klaten that offers clear, flowing water for swimming and watching. The site sits amid rice fields and green vegetation and features simple facilities such as gazebos, a restaurant, and fish ponds.
The site was founded to improve the river's water quality and clean it from trash after it had been unusable due to pollution. A neighbor named Bagong Margono began cleaning the water and banks, after which the community supported the project and made simple improvements like bamboo bridges.
The name Pusur comes from the local spring that feeds the water and has long been part of the community. Visitors can see how families gather here to swim, eat, and enjoy nature, with traditional habits of relaxation clearly visible.
Visitors should bring suitable swimming clothes and sun protection and carry cash for food and small purchases since not all places accept cards. The grounds have enough parking space and are easily accessible, especially since the location sits between the cities of Yogyakarta and Solo.
The water comes from two natural mineral springs called Sigedang and Kapilaler, whose high mineral content is so pure that companies tap water from here to produce bottled mineral water. This geological feature makes the water here particularly refreshing and healthy.
