Candi Dawangsari, Hindu-Buddhist temple in Sambirejo, Indonesia
The temple structure includes three terrace bases measuring 17x17m, 16x16m, and 15.3x15.3m, constructed primarily from andesite stone blocks.
Archaeological investigations at Candi Dawangsari began in 1987 with preliminary surveys, followed by excavations between 1988 and 1989 to study buried structures.
The temple site contains both Hindu and Buddhist elements, evidenced by the presence of stupas and a Ganesha statue within its ruins.
The Yogyakarta Cultural Preservation Board manages the site and provides information through their office located on Jalan Raya Solo-Yogyakarta number 15.
The temple's stupa dome, though partially preserved, suggests an original diameter of 11 meters and height of 5.75 meters based on architectural studies.
