Stein's Pillar, Natural summit in Crook County, Oregon, US

Stein's Pillar rises 350 feet as a monolith formation of welded tuff, standing prominently against the Oregon landscape near Prineville.

The geological formation dates back 40 million years to the collapse of the Wildcat Caldera, which deposited the welded tuff material.

The surrounding area serves as an educational resource for local schools and geological studies, contributing to community learning initiatives.

Visitors can access the pillar through a 4-mile round trip trail that begins at the Steins Pillar Trailhead near Mill Creek Road.
