Alagút, keleti bejárat, Scenic viewpoint in District I, Hungary

Alagút's eastern entrance is a scenic viewpoint in Budapest where visitors can see the Chain Bridge and Saint Stephen's Basilica across the Danube River. The location sits at the base of Castle Hill and provides an open view of the landmark structures on the riverbank.

The tunnel beneath Castle Hill was built in the 19th century and created a direct link between Buda and Pest. This passage was a key step in bringing the two cities together as Budapest.

The viewpoint represents a meeting point where photographers and visitors gather to capture the architectural heritage of Budapest's riverside landmarks.

The viewpoint is easily reached by bus and tram lines with stops nearby. The area is walkable and works well for photography at different times of day.

The tunnel beneath Castle Hill was one of the first major infrastructure projects that brought Buda and Pest closer together. Visitors often overlook how strategically important this underground route was for the city's growth.
