South Moravian Region, Administrative region in southeastern Czech Republic

The region contains seven districts including Blansko, Břeclav, Brno-City, Brno-Country, Hodonín, Vyškov, and Znojmo, with Brno serving as its capital city.

The South Moravian Region was established in 2000 as part of the administrative reorganization of the Czech Republic, incorporating territories from historical Moravia.

The Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape and Tugendhat Villa in Brno represent architectural excellence as UNESCO World Heritage Sites within the South Moravian Region.

The region maintains an extensive network of cycling paths connecting major cities, wine cellars, and natural attractions through 7,187 square kilometers of varied terrain.

The Moravian Karst features over 1,100 caves, including the Macocha Gorge, which plunges 138 meters deep into limestone formations.
