An-Najaf Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Najaf, used mainly for football and serving as the home ground of Al-Najaf SC. It opened in 1970 and holds 12,000 spectators. The ground lies in the Al-Hussein district, with the Al-Ghadir district on its right; the street in front is known as the Najaf–Karbala road, which also leads to Baghdad and is locally called the stadium road.
