The town is reachable by bus from Lima's Norte terminal in roughly four hours. Accommodation is available at various price levels, and the dry season offers the best conditions for visiting.
The Mamahuarmi thermal complex features stone-built pools that remain naturally heated throughout the year without artificial systems. The mineral composition of the water attracts repeat visitors from the surrounding region.
