Punta Allen

Located at the end of Boca Paila Peninsula, Punta Allen extends across sandy streets with a small pier monitored by law enforcement personnel.

The settlement originated as a Mayan fishing community and gradually developed into an established village with a population reaching 469 inhabitants by 2010.

Local fishermen maintain traditional techniques for catching lobster, fish, and other seafood, contributing to the village's primary economic activities.

Electricity operates during specific hours, from 11 AM to 2 PM and 7 PM to midnight, with four mini markets providing basic supplies to residents.

The village sits within Mexico's largest protected area, offering direct access to coral reefs, mangrove forests, and marine wildlife observation points.
