The structure, constructed in 1911, functioned as Williams Union High School until 1956, when local residents transformed it into a museum that opened in 1963.
The museum maintains collections of mid-19th to mid-20th century textiles, documents, and artifacts that demonstrate the development of Sacramento Valley communities.
The museum welcomes visitors Thursday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, offering free general admission and private tours by appointment.
The facility includes a dedicated Hall of Fame section recognizing influential California figures and their contributions to regional development.
