Beidaihe

Beidaihe is a coastal district in Qinhuangdao with more than 20 kilometers of sandy beaches along the Bohai Sea. The area combines shoreline, low mountains, and residential zones spread across several kilometers.

The district developed as a retreat destination in the 1950s and became known across the region. Several structures from that era remain, marking how the area developed into a popular destination.

Fishing communities and seafood preparation are woven into the rhythm of daily life here. You can see this heritage in the local markets where vendors sell fresh catches and in the way people gather around seafood stalls to cook and eat together.

Direct train service from Beijing and Tianjin makes getting here straightforward, and local buses connect the beaches and main attractions. This network helps you move easily between different areas of the district.

Mount Lianfeng has twin peaks covered in pine forests that serve as natural viewing points over the bay. Standing at the top gives you a broad view of the water and surrounding land.
