Shendu Highway station, Metro station in Pujiang, China
Shendu Highway station is a metro station in Pujiang serving two lines with six platforms. The station features two island platforms and two side platforms that allow passengers to move between Line 8 and the Pujiang line.
The station opened in 2009 as part of the second phase expansion of Line 8 in Shanghai's metro system. It served the growing development of the Pujiang district when it first began operations.
The station was renamed in 2013 to reflect its location on a major road corridor. This change shows how the city updates its infrastructure to match its expanding geography.
The station sits at the intersection of Shendu Highway and Puxing Highway, making it easy to locate. Passengers can transfer directly between the two lines without leaving the station.
Two different operators manage the two lines at this station even though they share the same building. Shanghai No. 4 Metro Operation Co. runs Line 8 while Shanghai Keolis operates the Pujiang line segment.
