The Chinese National Geographic recognized the Dapeng Peninsula, where Xichong sits, as one of China's ten finest locations in 2006.
Local fishermen maintain traditional practices along the coastline, providing fresh seafood to visitors and residents throughout the area.
Visitors can reach Xichong by taking bus E11 from Shenzhen North Station to Xinda Terminus, followed by bus M232 to the beach.
A 10-kilometer coastal hiking trail connects Xichong to Dongchong beach, offering views of the mountains and South China Sea.
