Pointe d'Almet

The clay and limestone formation rises to 2232 meters, presenting steep grassy slopes and a pyramid-shaped peak in the Bornes-Aravis range.

Early mountaineers documented the first ascents of Pointe d'Almet during their explorations of the French Alps, establishing routes still used today.

Local mountain guides share knowledge of Alpine navigation techniques while leading groups through the established paths near Pointe d'Almet.

Access requires a three-hour hike from Col des Annes parking area, with an elevation gain of 520 meters through unmarked grass terrain.

The summit connects to both Le Grand-Bornand and Le Reposoir territories, forming part of the geological structure known as Klippe des Annes.
