Nubra Tehsil

Nubra Tehsil is an administrative division in Leh district that stretches across valleys and mountain ranges. The landscape features sandy deserts, snow-capped peaks, and rivers that converge at an elevation of around 10,000 feet.

Double-humped Bactrian camels inhabit the sand dunes of Hunder, offering a surprising sight in this high-altitude cold desert landscape. These animals roam freely and visitors can encounter them as an unexpected and memorable part of their journey.
