Mangalagiri mandal

Mangalagiri mandal is an administrative division comprising twelve revenue villages and fourteen gram panchayats along the Krishna River in Andhra Pradesh. The territory combines rural farming areas with expanding settlements reflecting the growth of a developing region.

The area transitioned from the taluk system to mandal administration in 1985. This reorganization marked an important shift in local governance and administrative structure.

The population of 160,303 residents maintains traditional festivals and customs while participating in modern educational and social development programs.

The region operates around 114 schools of various types serving thousands of students and providing educational access for families. The local infrastructure supports both resident communities and commuters from surrounding areas.

Four villages in this mandal belong to the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region development zone. These settlements experience rapid changes through new infrastructure projects and investments.
