Maihama Station, Interchange railway station in Urayasu, Japan
Maihama Station is a stop along the Keiyō Line with an elevated platform and two tracks in Chiba Prefecture. The structure connects directly to Resort Gateway Station, creating a transfer point to the Disney Resort Line monorail.
Operations began on December 1, 1988, establishing this stop as a transportation hub in the eastern Tokyo metropolitan area. The launch of service coincided with growing waterfront development in Urayasu.
Travelers use this station as a gateway to nearby theme parks and hotels in the Tokyo Bay area. Its name reflects the reclaimed land where it stands, a modern development along the waterfront.
The station handles more than 76,000 daily passengers and offers access to multiple facilities in the area. Bus terminals on both sides provide connections to hotels and long-distance destinations.
The platforms sit above ground level on stilts, giving travelers a view over the surrounding area. The direct connection to the monorail makes it possible to switch between both systems without leaving the building complex.
