Seokchon Lake Park, Recreational park in Songpa District, Seoul, South Korea
Seokchon Lake Park spans 217,850 square meters with an average depth of 4.5 meters, divided into East Lake and West Lake sections connected by Jamsil Lake Bridge.
The lake formed in April 1971 when a construction project linked Burido island to the mainland, enclosing a section of the Han River.
Seoul Playground, an outdoor stage in the park, presents traditional Korean folk art performances during weekends from April through October since 1984.
The park remains open without entrance fees, with subway lines 2 and 8 stopping at Jamsil Station, located 282 meters from the entrance.
Photo Island, recognized among Seoul's top 50 scenic locations, presents photography opportunities against a background of modern skyscrapers reflecting on the lakes.
