Xiulin Township

The largest township in Taiwan covers 1,641 square kilometers of terrain, featuring nine villages and numerous peaks exceeding 3,000 meters in elevation.

The territory underwent significant changes during Japanese rule from 1895, with the Truku people mounting resistance against external administrative control.

The Truku people form the majority of Xiulin's population, maintaining their traditional practices through certified hunting associations and community gatherings.

Transportation access includes four railway stations on the North-link line and two provincial highways that connect the township to neighboring regions.

The Qingshui Cliff section extends directly from the mountains to the sea, creating a natural wall that rises straight from the Pacific Ocean.
