Centro Sambil, Shopping complex in Chacao, Venezuela
Centro Sambil is a shopping complex in Chacao with five floors named Autopista, Libertador, Acuario, Feria, and Diversión. The building houses more than 500 stores, restaurants, cinemas, and entertainment venues spread across multiple levels.
The complex opened on May 28, 1998, marking a new phase for shopping centers in Venezuela. After government seizure, the property returned to the Salomon Cohen family in 2022 and reopened with restored commercial activity in 2023.
This place functions as a social gathering point where people come together to shop, dine, and spend time while discovering both local and international brands side by side. The mix of national and global establishments shapes how visitors experience their days here.
The location sits between Avenida Libertador and Autopista Francisco Fajardo with straightforward access. Visitors will find parking on-site and can also shop online if they prefer not to visit in person.
The building remained closed for nearly a decade after government seizure in 2012, becoming a symbol of economic shifts in the country. Its reopening in 2023 represented a return of private commerce to this landmark location.
