Phước Long

Phước Long is a district-level town in Bình Phước Province located in the central highlands of Vietnam. The town comprises seven administrative subdivisions, including Long Thủy and Thác Mơ, scattered across hilly terrain.

The town was the site of a major battle in December 1974 that took place during the final stages of the war. This event shaped the region's recent history during the Vietnam War.

The town is home to several ethnic communities who have lived here for generations, including Vietnamese, Xtiêng, Nùng, and Tày people. Each group maintains its own traditions and ways of life throughout the region.

The climate is tropical with high temperatures and regular rainfall throughout the year. Visitors should prepare for changeable weather and bring a jacket for cooler mountain evenings.

The surrounding area is covered by dense forest that makes up about half of the total landscape. These woodlands spread especially across the northeastern and southeastern sections of the town.
