Thiên Vương Cổ Sát

Thiên Vương Cổ Sát is a Buddhist temple in Da Lat built on a hillside elevation, featuring multiple large Buddha statues crafted from precious materials. The structure combines traditional Buddhist architecture with modern building techniques and includes various shrines and halls for worship and reflection.

The temple was founded in the 1950s and initially constructed from wood and iron materials. It underwent a major reconstruction several decades later when the structure was rebuilt using modern materials like brick and concrete.

The temple honors the Four Heavenly Kings through their presence in the Tu Bi Shrine, where they stand beside a central golden Maitreya Buddha. Walking through this space, visitors encounter different representations of Buddhist devotion arranged in a traditional layout.

The temple sits on elevated ground and is accessible from different residential areas nearby, making exploration of the surroundings worthwhile. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes since the terrain is uneven and several staircases lead to the main structure.

Inside the main hall sits a rotating platform in the center that visitors can set in motion with a gentle touch. This mechanical feature is uncommon in Buddhist temples and adds an unexpected interactive dimension to the worship space.
