Tomb of Horemheb

The tomb features decorated corridors leading to chambers adorned with paintings of deities and hieroglyphs against blue-green backgrounds at multiple levels.

Built during the Eighteenth Dynasty, this burial site belonged to Horemheb before his ascension as pharaoh and contained the remains of a female, possibly Mutnedjmet.

The reliefs within the tomb depict foreign representatives addressing Tutankhamun with Horemheb serving as intermediary, reflecting diplomatic practices of ancient Egypt.

The tomb opens daily from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with entrance fees of 220 Egyptian pounds for international visitors and 20 Egyptian pounds for Egyptian citizens.

This temple-tomb stands as the largest structure in the New Kingdom cemetery, featuring a central room topped with a pyramid symbolizing solar rebirth.
