Parco naturale dell'Alto Garda Bresciano is a large protected area between Lake Garda and mountain terrain with highly varied landscapes. It ranges from flat coastal areas with Mediterranean vegetation to high peaks that exceed 2000 meters in elevation.

The protected area was established in 1989 and later expanded in 2003 to include more territory. The region also contains older structures such as an Austro-Hungarian hay barn with a thatched roof located high in Valvestino.

The area maintains strong ties to traditional agriculture and crafts that visitors can explore through several small museums scattered throughout. These places show how people historically lived and worked, from lemon farming to old production methods passed down through generations.

The area is divided among nine municipalities and offers marked hiking trails, shelters, and rest areas at various access points. Nearby towns like Salò and Gardone Riviera serve as good starting points for exploration.

The region holds the largest state forest in Lombardy with remarkably diverse wildlife. Around 250 animal species thrive here, including deer and eagles that flourish across different elevations.
