St. Lawrence Cathedral, Duitama, Catholic cathedral in central Duitama, Colombia.
The religious structure presents a cross-shaped layout with two side aisles and a central nave, constructed using carved limestone blocks throughout the building.
The construction of the current cathedral began on January 6, 1873, replacing an earlier church from 1604, and reached completion in 1953 under Bishop Antonio Samore.
The cathedral contains five marble altars dedicated to various saints, including Saint Lawrence and the Child God, reflecting the religious traditions of the region.
The cathedral stands directly in front of the Park of the Liberators, offering regular mass services and religious ceremonies for the Duitama-Sogamoso Diocese.
The cathedral houses a German-made E.F. Walcker & Cie organ with 17 registers, installed in 1950 and first played in 1955.
