Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Conservation research center in Chengdu, China.
The research base spans 100 hectares of land with specialized facilities housing over 200 giant pandas in naturalistic enclosures with bamboo gardens.
Founded in 1987 with six rescued giant pandas, the center has grown into a global leader in panda conservation, producing more than 260 pandas.
The center maintains a dedicated museum and discovery area where visitors learn about panda biology, breeding techniques, and conservation methods through exhibitions.
Access to the base requires online ticket reservations, with adult admission at RMB 55 and children under 4.3 feet receiving free entry.
The Sunshine and Moonlight Nursery Houses allow visitors to observe young pandas at play while maintaining proper care conditions for newborns.
