La Tanière du Dragon, Dragon attraction in Disneyland Paris, France
Located beneath Sleeping Beauty Castle, this walk-through cavern features a massive 27-meter animatronic dragon that rests in a dark, rocky environment.
The attraction, designed by Imagineer Terri Hardin, opened alongside Euro Disneyland on April 12, 1992, introducing visitors to the largest animatronic figure at that time.
The dragon's lair represents a connection to European medieval folklore, incorporating elements of fantasy within the Fantasyland section of Disneyland Paris.
Visitors can access the dragon's lair between 9:30 and 23:00 daily, entering through an entrance located at the base of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The mechanical dragon responds to guests by moving its head, emitting smoke, and producing growling sounds while lying amid ancient stone formations.
