Adhaim Dam

The Adhaim Dam extends 3,500 meters across the Al Uzaym River, reaching a height of 76.5 meters with a 12-meter-wide crest at 146.5 meters elevation.

The construction of this water management facility concluded in 2000, marking a substantial development in Iraq's infrastructure for controlling floods and generating hydroelectric power.

This engineering structure represents Iraq's commitment to managing water resources through large-scale projects that support agricultural communities along the Tigris basin.

The dam incorporates a spillway system capable of managing water flow at 1,150 cubic meters per second, located 133 kilometers northeast of Baghdad.

Upon completion of its power station, the dam will generate 27 megawatts while its irrigation outlet will channel 73 cubic meters of water per second.
