University for the Arts, Sciences, and Communication, university school in Providencia, Chile
The University for the Arts, Sciences, and Communication, also known as UNIACC, is a private university in Providencia, Santiago, focused on audiovisual communication, design, and media studies. Its buildings are organized around practical work, housing studios, laboratories, and project spaces where students develop their work throughout the day.
UNIACC was founded in 1981 as the first institution in Chile to offer audiovisual communication as a formal degree program. Over the following decades, it expanded into distance learning and was later acquired by an international education group, which brought further changes to its structure.
UNIACC draws students interested in media, design, and communication, giving Providencia a noticeable creative energy. Work produced in the studios and labs is often shared publicly, making the campus feel like an active production space rather than a closed institution.
The main campus is in Providencia and is easy to reach by metro or bus. Since the university has several locations along Salvador Street, it is worth checking which building you need before arriving.
UNIACC runs its own television channel and an online radio station, both managed entirely by students. This gives them hands-on production experience before entering the professional world, with their work reaching audiences beyond the campus.
