La yunta, Bronze sculpture at Paseo de los Héroes Navales, Peru
La Yunta depicts a farmer with two oxen and a plough, reaching a width of 220 centimeters in the central area of Lima.
The Chinese community gifted this bronze artwork to Lima in 1937 for the fourth centenary celebration of the Spanish foundation of the city.
The Ministry of Culture declared the sculpture as Cultural Heritage of Peru in April 2018, recognizing its representation of agricultural practices.
