Honey is a municipality in the Sierra Norte region of Puebla state, situated in a mountainous landscape at approximately 2,168 meters (7,113 feet) in elevation. The municipality was founded in 1919 under the name Chila Honey, taking its name from Richard Honey, an English entrepreneur who settled in the region. Honey's business activities laid the groundwork for early economic development in this mountain area.
