Habit Heroes, Interactive health attraction at Epcot's Innoventions East, Florida.
Habit Heroes is an interactive exhibit at Epcot's Innoventions East that uses motion-tracking technology and game-based simulations to guide visitors through health-focused challenges. The experience spans approximately 4,700 square feet and incorporates gameplay scenarios centered on nutrition, hydration, and physical wellness.
The attraction opened with a design approach that generated criticism over how it portrayed different body types and health concepts. A complete redesign in 2013 introduced a new framework using abstract elements to convey health-related messaging.
The characters Quench, Dynamo, and Fuel represent different aspects of healthy living and teach visitors about nutrition and physical activity through guided missions. These figures remain visible throughout other parts of Epcot, reinforcing the lessons learned in the main exhibit space.
Visitors receive colored wristbands and mission card sets that connect gameplay across different zones of the park. Keep these items with you to fully engage with interactive stations throughout your visit and complete the connected challenges.
The exhibit intentionally avoids depicting human figures and instead uses abstract symbols like animated flames and boulders to represent health concepts and challenges. This unconventional visual approach makes the educational content more accessible to all visitors by focusing on universal health principles rather than physical representation.
