France Pavilion, Theme park pavilion in World Showcase at Epcot, Florida, US.
The France Pavilion is a walkable recreation of a Paris neighborhood featuring cobblestone streets, fountains, and a scaled Eiffel Tower model within a larger theme park zone. Multiple levels and hidden areas throughout represent different architectural styles found across France.
This area opened in 1982 as one of the original themed zones and was designed to reflect France during its Belle Époque period. It has since been expanded over the decades, including the addition of a Ratatouille attraction many years later.
The pavilion features French artistry and craftsmanship visible in its boutiques and street performers who bring the neighborhood to life. Walking through feels like strolling a Parisian street where style and attention to detail shape the everyday experience.
The area has two restaurants serving different types of food: one offers hot, traditional French dishes while the other focuses on fresh pastries and sandwiches. Both open in the mornings and serve French specialties throughout the day.
The area houses a special attraction that moves visitors through a film-based setting using trackless vehicle technology that can navigate tight turns and surprisingly intimate spaces. This approach makes the ride feel more immersive than traditional track-based systems.
